Signatures and approvals for any file type
WSData lets you approve and sign PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, ZIP files, CAD files, images and other business files with cryptographic provenance attached.
Sign the exact file version. Prove who approved it, when it was approved, and whether it has changed.
More than PDF signing
Most signing tools are built around PDFs. WSData supports regular PDF signing workflows, but it also goes further. It can cryptographically seal and approve the exact file version, regardless of file type.
That means approvals can apply to the files your business actually uses every day: spreadsheets, contracts, reports, exports, images, ZIP bundles, CAD files and compliance evidence.
Secure messages, File Drop Pages, vault archives and approval evidence can stay connected in the same workflow.
How it works
Hash the file
WSData creates a cryptographic hash of the exact file version being approved. If the file changes by even one byte, verification fails.
Sign the proof
The approval is bound to the file hash, signer identity, timestamp and context, then recorded in a tamper-evident provenance record.
Verify later
The file and provenance bundle can be verified later, including outside the original workflow, so there is no ambiguity about what was approved.
Of course, PDFs are covered too
WSData supports regular PDF approval and signing use cases, just like traditional signing tools. The difference is that WSData also adds cryptographic provenance, so the signature is tied to the exact file hash and can be verified as tamper-evident proof.
Sign and approve standard PDF documents
Keep a visible approval record where appropriate
Attach cryptographic proof to the exact file version
Verify whether the PDF has changed after signing

Approve the files your business actually uses
Built-in provenance with every approval
Every approval can include a provenance record showing exactly what was approved, who approved it, when it was approved and whether the file has changed since.
File hash and size
The record identifies the exact file contents that were approved.
Document and version ID
Approvals can be tied to the relevant document and version context.
Vault or message context
Evidence can connect to secure messages, vault records, or file workflows.
Signer identity
Show who approved the file.
Timestamp of approval
Record when approval happened.
Cryptographic signature
Bind the approval evidence cryptographically.
Verification status
Show whether the file still matches the signed record.
Verifiable evidence, not just platform trust
WSData approvals are designed to be checked later. A recipient or auditor can verify the file against its provenance bundle and confirm whether it matches the signed record.
This creates mathematical proof that the approved file is the same file being reviewed later.

Why this is different
Traditional PDF signing
Usually focused on PDFs
Often tied to visual document workflows
Less useful for raw files, ZIPs, datasets or technical documents
Evidence is often locked inside the signing platform
WSData signatures and approvals
Supports PDFs and non-PDF files
Signs the exact file hash
Creates portable provenance evidence
Works with vaults, secure messages and file workflows
Designed for tamper-evident verification
